Wake Up and Hear the Truth - The Debate Results

You need to realize that although Sarah Palin did better than expected last night, not much was expected of her. She did not win the debate. She barely held her own and proved herself to be shallow and unknowledgable. She is a great actress and good at using clichés, but her answers showed no substance. She was like a Barbie Doll reciting memorized, “correct” talking point answers.
This is NOT bias, as some of you have stated. I am an undecided voter from Pennsylvania. Perhaps my frustration is that many of you will not face where we are headed. I have not intended my pages to become a political debate. That is not my purpose. Whatever this country is facing will not be “fixed” by the next president, and perhaps not the one after that either. The financial situation has gone too far, and is about to reach world wide proportions. Instead of facing that you get angry, attack and debase me. Does that make you feel better?
Put into perspective, we need in front of us, now, an economy game plan. Shouldn’t that be coming from the White House and Congress now? It is, perhaps, but at our expense. Most of you have NO CLUE. Your houses and all of your assets are about to become worthless. The best quote from last night came from Joe Biden when he said, “Cheney has been the worst and most dangerous Vice President this country has ever had.” Bottom line, can Sarah Palin become President? NO!!
Governor Palin did not even know McCain’s record! She lied about her stand on gay rights to placate the viewers, based on her prior record. She was erratic at best. We are headed for a severe long depression, we can expect rioting in the streets, perhaps not next week - but surely by mid-winter, when the $700 billion is gone and people cannot get oil delivered to their homes. This promises to be a snowy and icy winter for the East Coast. What then? We may be closing the schools and using them as shelters. Better go buy a camper or large SUV to live in. Geezz! I feel like “chicken licken.”
Just like Hurricane Katrina, there will be no answers. My concern is that all funds will be dried up within three months of any passing of any “bail out” bill, and at our expense. Better go out and get yourself a sewing machine, generator, bicycle and plan on planting a garden for food this next year as thousands more jobs go under, and the Stock Market falls several hundred points. You won’t be able to give you car away.
If you judge me as Ms. Doom en’ Gloom, so be it. Someone has to blow the whistle, sound the alarm and warn the public. What’s the answer? At this point I’ll be darned if I know. Gather with your loved ones, watch, wait, pray, and do the best you can under the circumstances.

Thank you once again for graciously reaching out to your viewers to try and forewarn people of the dark days that are coming with our economy, etc. I completely concur with everything you said. This rescue plan that was passed today will not be enough in the long run and unfortunately most people just don’t or can’t understand the sheer magnitude of the economic crisis that we are facing moving forward. Even the newscasters are having a tough time grasping some of the banking terminology on the news. Everyone…wake up and save your money and prepare the very best you can. Undecided voter? Hmmmm. It doesn’t sound that way, Elizabeth. What about Obama? What do you see about him? I tseems to be is is not at all the man he pretends to be. I am no psychic, but something just isn’t right about him. Do you see or feel any of this? Is there any reason he is being perpetuated as a legitimate candidate and supported by all sorts of shady and unsavory characters? Why is her here at this time? What is his purpose? It isn’t to bring sunshine and rainbows in our lives, that is for sure…but why is he here?

Actually, Palin’s ‘true’ record is about to explode. The GOP is doing EVERYTHING they can to squash the facts and keep ‘Troopergate’ from being released to the public. Now, why would the Palin’s (including Sarah) and everyone that was called to court not only NOT cooperate but not show up. Because they have something to hide. I am neutral on this but when you don’t cooperate and stall your case then you have something to hide. And, while I think Palin is very likeable and charismatic, you only had to watch the interviews with Gibson and Couric (which were SIMPLE interviews) to see this woman is clearly out of her depth to be VP. Couric’s questions were ‘dinner table’ questions. That is how simple they were. My 5 year old cousin could answer them and she couldn’t. That is not to say she’s a bad person but she ISN’T qualified to be VP at this time. I think she did improve during the debate but she dodged questions (fact) and was reading from notes (fact) and had to go to a boot camp for a week just to prepare. No VP contender should have to go to a ‘boot camp’ or should be so severely cushioned from the press. This election is way to important.

It feels odd to come here and see such a biased view of the debate. I check these pages for psychic insights.
Obama has a lot of darkness on his side, but it is so well hidden. Most of the psychics didn’t even see him coming. He just came out of nowhere. You better not be in Missouri and disagree with Obama’s talking points, because you could get arrested. Yep, his campaign is trying to suppress anyone who says anything that doesn’t agree with Obama’s talking points. Sounds like a red flag to me.
I don’t know why Obama works so hard to suppress information about himself. What is he trying to hide? I really don’t know the guy. And where are his normal friends? Does he have any?
I also see Palin and Obama being very much the same in approach. They each have their own style, but ride on charisma. Only thing is — when Obama speaks vaguely, they say he’s a great speaker. When Palin speaks vaguely they say she doesn’t know anything. Wow!

ALL politicians prep for major telecast debates. It the absolute norm down to a person. Are you aware of how many material errors Biden made ( meaning completely false statements referenced against facts) during the debate?
Biden used his notes also, he looked to reference them frequently. This is an accepted practice during the VP debate (check your history).
As to Palin not being qualifed to be VP, I disagree, I think she could eat the job for lunch– with her executive experience in elected leadership positions ( the single highest approval rating of any US governor at 80%), as Commander in Chief the Alaska National Guard and her dispatch in running a complex, massive budget and state bureaucracy.
Sadly, Obama has ZERO experience in any leadership role. He is manufactured, pure and simple to advance an extreme agenda. It offends me that someone that has not “earned” it, is on the cusp of being placed in the world’s most powerful job.
He has no record of accomplishment, no stellar reviews or testimonials and he has dozens of suspect, disturbing associations. He is polished, honed, formula-built to ‘entrance’. He is a dangerous empty suit. It’s MARKETING 101. How did we get so shallow?
I wonder about this mass hypnosis–where common sense has flown the coop.

Again, intuitively … 2008 is the year a woman would appear as a Vice President running mate. As I said to you earlier this year Elizabeth I felt it would be Obama/Clinton. Obama needed Clinton to win. The woman running with the man will be the winner. So, that’s McCain/Palin. There is serious issues with the man when in office. I also believe we haven’t seen the last of Hillary Clinton - 2012!

No Steve, the end of the world is at hand when a person can look in someones eyes and see Hatred! Puhleeze! Nope, my friend, Hatred is held high during McCain/Palin rally when she (the lipstick candidate) hollars out, “Who is he?” and the audience hollars out TERRORIST! and the conservative base shouts out “Kill HIM” The last thing we need, in addition to a broken economy, is racial slurs, and separateness like we haven’t seen since the 60s. Personally, Elizabeth, I agree that there is much more to be worried about then a man with dark skin being “Uppidity enough to have the audacity to waltz into the White House.” How about jobs and lower gas and food..and goood grief!

Geez, I guess Colin Powell is the anti-christ as well? Who wrote this? Unknown or not Dr. Tisdale, change is inevitable. Seriously, it frightens me to my very core to see that our evolution as a country is so far behind. Bush had NO experience, but you folk supported him overwhelmingly…even after unscrupulous, denigrating thievery within the election process. The rest of us sat back in silence, and though we knew something was fundalmentally wrong about who he was, how he misrepresnted himself…and how he stole the election against Gore. We said nothing. Now, 8 years later,the chickens have come home to roost and Republicans have the gall to cast aspersions on Senator Obama? Anti-Christ??? I would suggest that you look in your own camp, my friends, because that is where your answers lie.
