Society’s plan of attack is to create dissatisfaction, to convince us that we must be in constant pursuit of something “out there” that is sure to bring us happiness, our soul mate and love forevermore. When you reduce that illusion to its lowest level, it states that contentment is impossible without constantly striving for more. Developing your spirituality offers the exact opposite. Contentment is only possible when we stop striving for more. Contentment never comes from an external force. It grows from within. (eaj 1/1/08)
