Wishing a blessed and joyous Thanksgiving Day to you and your loved ones. At your Thanksgiving feast I invite you to thank God for His gifts and His eternal sustaining presence in our lives. Let this loving season be a time to renew your efforts to express your divine nature - whoever you are and however you live.

Our national day of Thanksgiving is one of the spiritual customs that our forefathers emphasized. This holiday is not merely a celebration of material bounty and harvest, but of our irrevocable connection with the Divine Source of all that is good.

During this Holiday Season of 2008,, when America and all the world are facing economic uncertainty, let us remember with faith the soul connection with our eternal benefactor both inwardly and by sharing with those less fortunate. Heartfelt gratitude to God instantly lifts our consciousness to a higher plane. The more we remain in that consciousness, that higher dimension, the more we feel the unshakable assurance of being loved and healed. “He who watches over birds, crickets and grass, dragonflies and dolphins, would He not watch over you once you have come forth?” (Kabir) Pray and remember that you are cared for, loved and protected by the Infinite Beloved, no matter what challenges lay ahead for you, America, and the world.

Prosperity, both spiritual and material, flows into our lives in direct proportion to the degree that we live by the Divine Laws. As I meditate every day I pray that every neighbor in my area, every citizen of this great country as well as across the world, will realize this great truth. By bringing God-awareness into our hearts, by praying and meditating, while exemplifying His qualities with grace in our daily lives, we help our nation and our world family return to the good karma while embracing the godly principles.

Clear away the thoughts that limit you to your mortal imperfections. Light and shadow are a part of the Earth’s duality, but love and gratitude teaches us to concentrate on God’s light. Put your attention on your blessings and accomplishments rather than on your lack, on your upcoming 2009 opportunities rather than fearing obstacles. Focus on the positive qualities of your life rather than on the negative, or flaws in others.

World Peace

The Earth can be a Heaven of Nations, as well as each individual, if we all heed the call to make God consciousness your primary aim in life. Begin to subdue the preoccupation of self-interest and learn to acquire wisdom. Meditate and be in tune with your Blessed Higher Self and the wisdom of the Infinite. Collectively we will feel our souls full with all-round happiness. What a beautiful thought to add to our Thanksgiving table and traditions of sharing food with the needy and a special dinner with dear ones and close friends.

Allow love and appreciation to fill your heart whenever you think of your divine family living across this planet. It is you, and souls like you, who are the real saviors of this country. By your steadfast devotion to God, you bring blessings on your whole nation.
